Diane Zimmerman is an experienced attorney with a diverse background in law, business, and real estate development. She earned her Juris Doctor from Mercer University Law School in 1983 and completed an LLM in Taxation at the University of Florida in 1984. Diane also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Stetson University. She is admitted to practice law in both Georgia and Florida.
Diane began her legal career in Georgia, serving as a tax consultant with Touch, Ross & Company and as an Assistant Public Defender in Houston County. She later practiced with Westmoreland, Patterson & Mosley in Macon, before founding Bond & Zimmerman, a boutique firm representing individuals, and Diane Zimmerman & Associates, which grew to a five-lawyer practice representing both individuals and businesses. During her time in Georgia, Diane was active in her community, serving on the Peach County Planning and Zoning Commission and even running for the State House of Representatives.
In 2000, Diane returned to her hometown of Panama City, Florida, to join her family's business, Sil's Mobile Homes. Within two years, she purchased the business, expanded it to multiple locations, and grew revenues from $1.5 million to $10 million annually, selling and developing an average of 80 homes per year. Diane also successfully launched Panama City Health Club & Spa, expanding it from a small fitness studio to a 22,000 sq. ft. facility prior to its destruction by Hurricane Michael.
Following Hurricane Michael, Diane returned to her passion for law, founding Diane Zimmerman Law to assist hurricane victims in navigating insurance claims and protecting their rights.
In addition to her legal practice, Diane has extensive experience in real estate development, including projects such as the 150-acre Irby Road subdivision in Ft. Valley, Georgia, the 24-lot Quail Meadows subdivision in Warner Robins, Georgia, and the 45-lot Ten Acre Terrace subdivision in Panama City, Florida.
